NO taxi will take you there, as it's located remotely in the mountains of Otavalo. From the city Tevali to the hotel there is 98 km, but from there, the hotel is only accessible with a jeep and a special trained driver that will drive you 5 hours through the mountains. “I can only assume any negative reviews are old. There is a new building to this hotel which has recently opened and which I stayed in. Lovely lake view room, very comfortable. Friendly staff in reception, pool area and restaurant. Good food at breakfast and dinner. There is still some building work going on but this was minimum noise. Pool and spa in a seperate building so away from any building noise. Baffled by a previous review I read that suggested the pool was so far away from the hotel...
